为了给我家猫FB页面那8万粉丝一个交代写的答疑

我家猫上周五开始粉丝暴涨，一下从几百跳到几千，然后几万。。。。几百条粉丝评论和私信，完全看不过来。。。。。
所以写了这么一篇答疑。原谅我的渣英文。。。

[from Sherbert's CLO (Chief Litter Officer)] Thank you all for your love for Sherbert! Sherbert has been enjoying yoga and her couch (she definitely sits on it more often than anyone else in the family) as usual since we told her her page's fan count suddenly burst last Friday. Her majesty may not be that impressed I guess.=P But we are very impressed by how many people show their love towards Sherbert and how many warm stories the fans share with us. This is the best Christmas gift we've ever received!
We would love to take time to answer every message and comment from all of you who likes and cares about Sherbert. But we both work full time and need to finish our work before the holiday starts. It would not be possible for us to reply to every message and comment. We will still try our best to answer most of them individually, but for those common questions asked, we want to answer them by the story of us and Sherbert below if you don't mind.
Sherbert was 7 years old at Seattle Humane Society  when I first met her. I came into the room Sherbert shared with another Tabby cat with my friend. Sherbert just came and rubbed her chin on me, while the other cat just minded his own business. My friend also wanted to play with Sherbert but Sherbert didn't show much interest in her. I am not sure how it happened, but I and Sherbert just naturally attracted each other and from that moment I knew I was not going home without her.
The volunteer at Seattle Humane Society told us that Sherbert was definitely a sweet girl. But because of the missing leg and that she needed to be on a prescription diet for the rest of her life, she had been in the shelter for three months without any luck getting adopted. I've never had any concern of getting a cat with a missing leg. But her medical record said she had bladder stone before and she needed to be strictly on the C/D diet for the rest of her life. Since this is my first pet ever, I was worried about that I may not be experienced enough to guarantee her health. But the volunteer told me that besides I need to keep her weight under 10lbs to reduce the risk of putting too much pressure on her knee and only feed her with the C/D diet, there's nothing different than caring for a normal cat. So I finally decided to take sweet Sherbert home! Since then I've done lots of research online for how to take care of a cat with bladder stone previously. As a result, I bought her a water fountain to encourage her to drink more water (and she loves it!) and take her to the vet for senior cat exams every year (although she complains about it every time). She's been very healthy and the queen of the house so far!=)
As for the name, we didn't name her and Sherbert is the name that came with her from her previous owner.=) The spelling seems to bother some of her fans.=P But we decided maybe we should just let her keep her name as she's been using it for 9 years already. She is a bit over 10lbs now and as the vet keeps telling us, she still need to lose some weight. It's not easy at all because whenever we give her a bit less amount of food, she can keep meowing for food even at 3am. That's why we always call her 'fat meow' in the family, trying to remind her losing weight is more important than food (this is totally useless so far though=( ).
Some fans asked how Sherbert lost her leg. We want to know it ourselves, but all we have is that her previous owner wrote on the file that it was because of an accident. We have no idea what kind of accident it was and we may never figure it out.
Our purpose of creating this page for Sherbert is just to share the love, warmth and happiness she brought to us. Sherbert is just a common domestic short-hair feline. She has no rare breed at all and her look is so ordinary, that we often run into cats that look exactly like her twin. But she is also the most special cat in the world to us, for the way that she jumps and sits on my belly whenever I take a nap on the couch, the way that she sometimes suddenly sits down on my pillow when I am in my dreams and almost gives me a heart attack,  and the way that she insists drinking water from the shower room floor instead of her fancy cat fountain...I can spend the whole day talking about all these LOL, but to put this simple, she is part of the family and therefore no one compares.
This has become longer than I thought.=P I know you all came to like this page because of our pretty family queen Sherbert and not her CLOs. I promise this is the last post from her human CLOs unless we necessarily need to write long answers like this one again. All posts should be sharing her daily life from Sherbert her majesty from now on and we hope she can bring you as much love and joy as she brings us.=)
